Robotics Workshop at Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum, National University of Singapore

We were very honoured to be invited to put up a workshop at Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum, National University of Singapore on 18th May 2019! Being Singapore’s first and only natural history museum, it has three 150-million-year-old diplodocid sauropod dinosaur skeletons. These sauropod fossils were among the largest and heaviest animals to ever walk on land. We were very excited about it and specially designed a robotics workshop based on a relevant theme – Ex-CODE-vate! Our participants act as paleontologists to discover fossils and excavate rocks! They accomplished the tasks using Robot Dash! By putting in the codes, they could move Robot Dash to dust off dirt and rocks with its brush to reveal fossils! Also, they programmed Robot Dash with the gripper tool to pick up heavy rocks! It was really great fun! Thank you LKCNHM for this great opportunity! And thank you to parents and Girls Scouts USA too!
